Sending Unit Operational Test

Unplug connector from sending unit. Connect 12-volt source, in series with LED tester, to sending unit. LED should not light with engine off. With engine running, LED should flash. Flashes will vary with engine speed. Replace sending unit if LED does not function as indicated.
