Removal & Installation (Tercel)

  1. Raise and support vehicle. Disconnect lateral control rod from axle housing and body. Remove lateral control rod. See Figure.
  2. To install, reverse removal procedure. Temporarily install lateral control rod bolts, bolts but DO NOT tighten. Lower vehicle. Bounce vehicle to stabilize suspension. Tighten all bolts to specification with vehicle resting on suspension. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS at end of article.
