Instrument Cluster (CELICA & Supra): Removal
- Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Disconnect negative battery cable. Wait at least 20 seconds before continuing. Place front wheels in straight-ahead position.
- Unscrew 4 Torx screws on side covers until groove along screw circumference catches on screw case. Pull wheel pad out from steering wheel and disconnect air bag connector.CAUTION: When removing wheel pad, DO NOT pull on air bag wiring harness. When storing wheel pad, ensure upper surface of pad faces upward.
- Disconnect wiring connector. Remove steering wheel nut. Remove steering wheel with steering wheel puller. Remove steering column covers. Remove retaining screws. Remove trim panel over instrument cluster.
- Remove instrument cluster retaining screws. Pull instrument cluster out far enough to disconnect speedometer cable and harness connectors. Remove instrument cluster.
