Instrument Cluster (CELICA & Supra): Installation

  1. To install, reverse removal procedure. Before installing steering wheel, center clockspring. Ensure front wheels are straight ahead.
  2. Turn clockspring cable counterclockwise by hand until resistance is felt. Rotate clockspring clockwise approximately 2 1/2 turns and align Red alignment marks on clockspring and outer housing.
  3. Install steering wheel and nut. Tighten steering wheel nut to 26 ft. lbs. (35 N.m). Install remaining components in reverse order of removal procedure.
CAUTION: When installing wheel pad, ensure air bag wiring is not pinched or interferes with other parts.
