Upper Suspension Arm: Removal

  1. Raise and support vehicle. Remove rear wheels. Remove brake caliper and wire out of way. Remove brake disc rotor.
  2. Remove rear drive shaft and parking brake assembly. Disconnect No. 1 (front) and 2 (rear) lower suspension arms from axle carrier. See Figure.
  3. Disconnect strut rod. Disconnect bottom of strut assembly. Disconnect upper suspension arm from frame and remove axle carrier assembly with upper arm. Separate upper suspension arm from axle carrier.
