Valve Seat Service

  1. Before refacing valve seats, check valve and valve guide for wear. If not within specification, replace components as necessary. See CYLINDER HEAD SPECIFICATIONS  table.
  2. Inspect valve seat for any evidence of pitting at valve contact surface. Reface seat if worn excessively. Valve seat replacement is not available from manufacturer.
