Seat Correction Angles

  1. If valve guides need to be replaced, perform replacement before refacing valve seats. After refacing, if valve seating is too high on the face of the valve, use a 30-degree and 45-degree stone/cutter to correct the seat.
  2. If valve seating is too low, use a 60-degree and 30-degree stone/cutter to correct seat. Ensure valve seat margin is within specification. See CYLINDER HEAD SPECIFICATIONS  table.
