Intake Manifold: Removal

  1. With cylinder head resting on wooden blocks, remove No. 2 timing belt cover. See Fig 1. Remove alternator bracket, heater inlet hose and heater union.

  2. Remove 3 fuel rail retaining bolts. Remove fuel supply rail with injectors attached. Remove fuel injector insulators and collars from cylinder head. Remove EGR valve, vacuum switching valve, intake manifold and gasket.
