Reassembly & Installation
- Reassemble pump in reverse order of disassembly. Replace all "O" rings. After reassembly, check pump operation. Immerse inlet tube in clean engine oil and turn drive shaft counterclockwise.
- Oil should flow from discharge hole. Cover hole with thumb and turn drive shaft counterclockwise. Shaft should be difficult to turn. Install oil pump. Apply one continuous bead of gasket sealant (08826-00080) to the mating surface of oil pan.
- Sealer should be applied to the inner surface around the bolt hole area. Tighten oil pan to specification. To complete installation, reverse removal procedure. Fill engine with oil. Start engine and check for leaks. Check front wheel alignment.
