Engine Identification: Notes

WARNING:
Supra models are equipped with a Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) air bag which has a back-up power source that may deploy air bag. Before working on Supra models, wait a minimum of 20 seconds after disconnecting negative battery cable.
Engine can be identified by fourth character of Vehicle Identification Number (VIN), located on top of dash panel, at lower left corner of windshield. Engine serial number is stamped on right front of cylinder block.
