Rear Drum Brake Shoes: Installation

Install adjusting lever and parking brake lever to rear shoe with new "C" washer. Measure clearance between adjusting lever and shoe. Remove "C" washer and install shim(s) to provide clearance of 0-.014" (0-.35 mm).
Install and stake "C" washer. Complete installation by reversing removal procedure. Adjuster assemblies are not interchangeable. Left-hand thread is for right wheel and right-hand thread is for left wheel. Install drum and adjust brakes.
