Front Pads: Removal
- Remove small amount of fluid from master cylinder. Raise vehicle and support securely. Remove wheels and hold rotor in place with lug nuts. Remove caliper guide bolts. See Figure.
- Leave hose connected and hang caliper from suspension. Remove anti-squeal springs (if equipped), brake pads, anti-squeal shims, pad wear indicator plates and pad support plates.
NOTE:
Some models have one or more sets of anti-squeal shims. If one set of shims is vented, place it between pad and outer anti-squeal shim.
