Lateral Control Rod: Removal
- Raise and support vehicle, and hold up the rear axle housing with a jack.
- Remove the bolt holding the rear shock absorber to the rear axle housing and disconnect the shock absorber. See Figure.
- Remove the 2 bolts and disconnect the shackle bracket from the lateral control rod. See Figure.
- Remove the bolt and nut holding the lateral control rod to the frame and disconnect the lateral control rod. See Figure.
- Remove the nut holding the lateral control rod to the rear axle housing, and remove the lateral control rod. See Fig 1.
