Wheel Bearing: Removal

  1. Using Brake Tube Union Wrench (09751-36011), remove brake line from disc brake assembly. Remove disc brake caliper from steering knuckle. Release hub lock washer, using a screwdriver.
  2. On models with free wheeling hubs, release hub lock washer with a screwdriver. Remove lock nut and washer using Adjusting Nut Wrench (09607-60020). On all models, use same tool and remove adjusting nut. On models with free wheeling hubs, thrust washer and hub and disc assembly with outer bearing and washer. Pry out oil seal and remove inner bearing from hub.
