Installation (New Torsion Bar Spring)

Remove wheel and install 2 boots to torsion bar spring. Apply light coat MDL base grease to spline of torsion bar spring.
Temporarily install anchor arm to small end of torsion bar spring. Place match marks on torsion bar spring and anchor arm.
NOTE: One spline on torsion bar is larger than others. Install torsion bar spring into anchor arm. Slowly turn anchor arm until large end of spline enters matching point in anchor arm.
Align match marks on torsion bar spring and anchor arm on bottom of each. Remove anchor arm from torsion bar spring. Install torsion bar spring into torque arm.
Align match marks and install anchor arm to torsion bar spring. First tighten adjusting nut to 1.57" (40 mm) protrusion length. Then tighten adjusting nut to 2.48" (63 mm) length for YR31LG models and 2.40" (61mm) length for YR32LV models.
Temporarily install lock nut. Install wheel and remove stands. Bounce on vehicle to settle suspension. Adjust chassis ground clearance by turning adjusting nut. Front chassis clearance is measured form ground to center of lower control arm front mounting bolt. See CHASSIS GROUND CLEARANCE table. Tighten lock nut to 58 ft. lbs. (78 N.m).
