Engine Identification

NOTE: For engine repair procedures not covered in this article, see ENGINE OVERHAUL PROCEDURES - GENERAL INFORMATION article in the GENERAL INFORMATION section.

The engine serial number is stamped on right side of engine block below cylinder head. Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) is displayed in 3 locations on the vehicle. These locations are plate under front passenger seat carpet, on top left side of dash, and certification plate on left door post.
