Thrust Bearing Clearance

Check thrust washer clearance at No. 3 main bearing with feeler gauge. If specification of .018" (.30 mm) is exceeded, install oversize thrust washer. Thrust washers are available in .0049" (.125 mm) and .010" (.25 mm) oversize. If clearance is excessive after installation of oversize thrust washers, replace crankshaft.
