Drive Axle - Front: Description

Drive axle assembly is hypoid type with integral carrier housing. Drive pinion bearing preload adjustment is made with collapsible spacer between front and rear pinion bearing inner races. Differential side bearing preload and drive pinion depth adjustment are made by shims.

Driving power is transmitted to stub axles by drive axles with Constant Velocity (CV) joints at each end. Gear shafts are supported in carrier by roller bearings.
