Oil Pump: Inspection
- Check rotor tip clearance. If tip clearance is beyond limit, replace rotors. Check clearance between drive rotors and cover using a straightedge and feeler gauge. If clearance exceeds specification, replace cover, pump body, or rotors.
- Check clearance between outer rotor and pump body with feeler gauge. If clearance exceeds specification, replace pump body or rotors. Check pressure regulator spring and piston for wear or damage. Replace as necessary.
