Piston Pin Replacement
- Check pin fit by rocking piston at right angle to pin. If any movement is felt, replace piston and pin.
- Using Piston Pin Remover/Replacer (09221-25022), press pin from piston. Ensure pins, pistons, and connecting rods are marked for reassembly.
- Thoroughly clean and inspect all components. Coat pin with engine oil. Using Piston Pin Remover/Replacer (09221-25022), press pin into piston. Piston and pin should be at 68°F (20°C) during pin removal and installation procedure. Ensure piston and connecting rod are in proper position before installing pin. See Fig 1. If fit is loose, replace piston and pin.
