Oil Pump: Inspection
- Check gears for wear or damage. Install new oil seal using Seal Installer (09517-30011) for 3A-C and (09517-30010) for 4A-C. DO NOT install seal slantwise.
- Measure drive gear-to-driven gear, side clearance, and gear-to-body clearances. If beyond specification, replace parts. Check relief valve for wear or damage. See OIL PUMP SPECIFICATIONS table. See Fig 1.
