Axle Carrier & Hub: Removal
- Raise and support vehicle. Remove wheel assembly. Remove cotter pin and lock nut cap. With parking brake set, remove bearing lock nut. Remove brake caliper and wire out of way. Remove disc rotor. Using Puller (09610-20012), disconnect suspension arm tie rod end from carrier.
- Remove knuckle-to-lower control arm ball joint bolts. Mark strut camber adjusting cam for reassembly reference. Disconnect strut from carrier. Cover drive shaft boot with cloth to protect it from damage. Remove axle carrier and axle hub as a unit.
