Removal & Installation: Engine: Installation

  1. With engine connected to transmission, install starter. Carefully lower engine into position. Replace engine mount bolts and nuts. Install clutch slave cylinder and bleed hydraulic system as necessary.
  2. Install all wiring, heater and vacuum hoses. Adjust drive belts. Add proper amount of engine and transmission oil and coolant. To complete installation, reverse removal procedure. Reinstall hood, start engine and check for leaks.


  1. With engine connected to transaxle, install starter. Carefully lower vehicle into position. Replace engine mount bolts and nuts. Install clutch slave cylinder and bleed hydraulic system as necessary.
  2. Install all wiring, heater and vacuum hoses. Adjust drive belts. Add proper amount of engine oil and coolant. To complete installation, reverse removal procedure. Start engine and check for leaks.
