Cylinder Head: Installation

  1. Clean all surfaces and install new head gasket over dowels on block. Place cylinder head on block. Tighten cylinder head bolts in sequence in 3 stages. See Fig 1.

  2. Install timing belt and camshaft timing pulleys. See TIMING BELT & SPROCKETS . To complete installation, reverse removal procedure.
