Removal & Installation: Camshafts: Installation

1. Coat camshafts and bearing caps with oil. Install camshafts. Apply grease to lip of new oil seals and sealant on outside edge of seals. Install oil seals flush with cylinder head. DO NOT  set slantwise.
2. Apply sealer to No. 1 bearing cap-to-head junction points and install. Install remaining bearing caps with arrows on No. 2, 3, 4 and 5 caps facing forward.
3. Tighten bearing cap bolts gradually, in 3 or 4 stages. See Fig 1. To complete installation, reverse removal procedure.
