Valve Springs: Installation

  1. Clean parts and apply oil to all sliding and rotating surfaces. Install valve spring seats and seals.
  2. Install springs and retainers on valves. Using spring compressor, compress springs and install keepers. Tap valve stem with hammer to ensure keepers are seated properly.
