Inspection (Camry & Celica)

Clean cylinder head and check for cracks. Using straightedge and feeler gauge, check cylinder head and block for warpage. Maximum warpage on block side and camshaft housing side of head is .002" (.050 mm). On manifold side of head, warpage limit is .0031" (.080 mm). Maximum warpage of block is .002" (.050 mm). If warped beyond specification, resurface or replace cylinder head and/or block.
