Removal & Installation (Oil Pump Installed)

  1. Use a knife to cut off oil seal lip. Using screwdriver, carefully pry out seal. DO NOT  damage seal contact surface of oil pump or seal lip contact surface of crankshaft.
  2. Inspect seal lip contact surface of crankshaft for cracks or damage and replace if necessary. Apply grease to new oil seal lip. Using Seal Installer (09226-10010), replace oil seal. DO NOT  set seal more than .04" (1.0 mm) into oil pump body.
