Oil Pump: Disassembly

  1. Remove oil pump body mount bolts, pump body, driven rotor and "O" ring. Hold sprocket in padded vise. Remove nut, sprocket, drive rotor and pump body.
  2. Using snap ring pliers, remove snap ring. Remove retainer, spring and relief valve piston. See Figure.
