Pickup & 4Runner

  1. Disconnect the pressure hose from the turbo boost sender gauge. Sender gauge is in right rear corner of engine compartment on fender.
  2. Turn ignition on. No. 4 segment of bar graph (counting from bottom) should light.
  3. Apply 5.7 psi (39 kPa) of pressure to hose connection on sender gauge. All segments should light with engine running.
  4. To check sender gauge, unplug gauge connector. On harness side of connector, there are 3 terminals. Ensure there are 5 volts measured across the 2 terminals that are side by side.
  5. Apply pressure and ensure voltage changes with engine running.
