Camry, Pickup, Supra & 4Runner
- Bring engine to normal operating temperature. Unplug connector from temperature sending unit.
- On Camry, sending unit is on left side of engine with a Yellow/Black wire. On Supra, sending unit is on left front of engine with Yellow/Green wire. Pickup and 4Runner wire color is Yellow/Green.
- Lowest segment should light up with ignition switch in "ON" position. Ground connector of sending unit. Uppermost segment should flash.
- Measure resistance between end terminal on sending unit and engine block. See COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENDING UNIT RESISTANCES . Replace sending unit if defective.
