Pickup & 4Runner

  1. Unplug connector from oil pressure sending unit in left side of block. Lowest segment should light up with engine running.
  2. Connect a 3.4-watt bulb between connector and body ground. Bulb should light and No. 8 segment of bar graph (counting from bottom) should illuminate.
  3. To check sending unit, connect a 3.4-watt bulb in series with the sender and a 12-volt source. The bulb should not light with engine stopped.
  4. Bulb should flash with engine running. Number of flashes should vary with engine speed.
