Oil Pump: Inspection

  1. Check gears for wear or damage. Install new oil seal using Seal Installer (09517-30011) for 3A-C and (09517-30010) for 4A-C and 4A-LC. DO NOT  install seal slantwise.
  2. Measure clearances between drive gear and driven gear, side clearance, and gear-to-body clearance. If beyond limits, replace necessary parts. Check relief valve for wear or damage. See Fig 1.
