Water Pump: Disassembly

  1. Remove water pump suction cover mount bolts and pry off cover. Remove 4 stud bolts from pulley seat. Using hydraulic press and service tool (SST09236-00100), press pulley seat off of pump bearing shaft.
  2. Heat pump body to about 185°F (85°C). Press out bearing, with impeller, from pump body. Press impeller off of pump shaft/bearing assembly. Remove seal set from bearing assembly.
