Piston Pins: Removal
Remove circlips, heat piston to 122-140°F (50-60°C) and push piston pin out of piston and connecting rod. Piston pin should push through connecting rod with slight thumb pressure with rod at room temperature. If fit is excessively loose, pin bushing in rod must be replaced and new bushing honed to correct clearance for piston pin. Pin should push through piston with slight thumb pressure with piston at room temperature. Replace both piston and pin if clearance is excessive.
