Thrust Bearing Alignment
Check crankshaft endplay with number two bearing and main cap installed. If endplay exceeds 0.012", replace thrust bearing. If standard bearing will not give proper endplay, thrust bearings are available in 0.005" and 0.010" oversize thicknesses. Install thrust bearing with oil groove side against thrust side of crankshaft.
