Cover - Seat Back - 2nd Row Seat - LH - Remove And Replace: Remove

  1. Open the LH front door and lower the LH front window.
  2. Open the LH rear door and lower the LH rear window.
  3. Move the driver seat fully forward.
  4. Remove the LH 2nd row back panel. See Back Panel - 2nd Row Seat - LH (Remove And Replace) .
  5. Remove the LH 2nd row headrest. See Headrest - 2nd Row - LH (Remove And Replace) .
  6. Remove the LH and RH 2nd row backrest guide locks. See Guide Lock - Headrest - 2nd Row (Remove And Replace) .
  7. Disconnect the LH 2nd row backrest harness, and then release the clip that attaches the harness to the backrest.

  8. Disconnect the LH 2nd row backrest cushion heat pad electrical connector.

  9. Remove the bolts (x2) that attach the LH 2nd row backrest cushion to the back frame

    8 N.m (5.9 ft-lbs) 

    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:

    • 10 mm deep socket

  10. Fold the LH 2nd row seat to the vertical position, but do not latch the seat back.

  11. Release the clips (x4) that attach the LH 2nd row backrest cushion to the backrest frame, and then remove the cushion assembly from the vehicle.

  12. Release the clips that attach the LH 2nd row backrest cushion heat pad harness to the LH 2nd row seat back substrate.

  13. Release the hooks (x4) that attach the bottom portion of the LH 2nd row seat back cover to the LH 2nd row seat back substrate.

  14. Release clips (x4) that attach the LH 2nd row seat back cover to the LH 2nd row seat back substrate.

  15. Release the hooks (x6) and clips (x2) that attach the top portion of the LH 2nd row seat back cover to the LH 2nd row seat back substrate

  16. Pull the top portion of the LH 2nd row seat back cover down and off of the LH 2nd row seat back substrate

  17. Remove the LH 2nd row seat back substrate from the cushion assembly.

  18. Release the velcro that attaches the LH 2nd row seat back cover to the LH 2nd row seat back foam

  19. Use diagonal cutters to cut the hog rings (x3) that attach the LH 2nd row seat back cover to the 2nd row seat back foam.
    NOTE: Push down on the foam to allow access to the rings.
    NOTE: Remove any excess hog ring pieces.

  20. Remove the LH 2nd row seat back cover from the seat back foam
