Cover - Seat Back - 2nd Row Seat - LH - Remove And Replace: Install

  1. Position the LH 2nd row seat back cover onto the LH 2nd row seat back foam

  2. Use hog ring pliers to crimp the hog rings (x3) to secure the LH 2nd row seat back cover to the 2nd row seat back foam
    NOTE: Place the hog ring into the hog ring pliers prior to installation
    NOTE: Push down on the foam to allow access, if necessary.

  3. Secure the velcro that attaches the LH 2nd row seat back cover to the 2nd row seat back foam.

  4. Install the LH 2nd row seat back substrate into the cushion assembly.

  5. Pull the top portion of LH 2nd row seat back cover up and onto the LH 2nd row seat back substrate.

  6. Secure the hooks (x6) and clips (x2) that attach the top portion of LH 2nd row seat back cover to the LH 2nd row seat back substrate.

  7. Fasten clips (x4) that attach the LH 2nd row seat back cover to the LH 2nd row seat back substrate

  8. Secure the hooks (x4) that attach the bottom portion of the LH 2nd row seat back cover to the LH 2nd row seat back substrate

  9. Fasten the clips (x2) that attach the LH 2nd row backrest cushion heat pad harness to the LH 2nd row seat back substrate.

  10. Position the LH 2nd row backrest cushion onto the backrest frame, and then fasten the clips (x4) that attach the cushion to the frame.

  11. Fold the LH 2nd row seat to the down position.
  12. Install the bolts (x2) that attach the LH 2nd row backrest cushion to the back frame.

    8 N.m (5.9 ft-lbs) 

    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:

    • 10 mm deep socket

  13. Connect the LH 2nd row backrest cushion heat pad electrical connector

  14. Fasten the clip that attaches the LH 2nd row backrest harness to the backrest, and then connect the electrical connector.

  15. Install the LH and RH 2nd row backrest guide locks. See Guide Lock - Headrest - 2nd Row (Remove And Replace) .
  16. Install the LH 2nd row headrest. See Headrest - 2nd Row - LH (Remove And Replace) .
  17. Install the LH 2nd row back panel. See Back Panel - 2nd Row Seat - LH (Remove And Replace) .
  18. Raise the LH rear window and the LH rear door.
  19. Restore the driver seat back to its original position.
  20. Raise the LH front window and close the LH front door.
