Insulator - Wheelhouse - Rear - RH - Remove And Replace: Remove
- Open all the doors and open all the windows.
- Move the driver and front passenger seats fully forward.
- Remove the LH and RH 2nd row seat outer bolsters. See Bolster - Outer - Seat - 2nd Row - LH (Remove and Replace) .
- Remove the 2nd row lower seat cushion. See Seat Cushion - Lower - 2nd Row (Remove and Replace) .
- Fold down the RH 2nd row seat back (40 portion).NOTE: Release the seat from either button at the seat back or the from trunk switch.
- Remove the RH lower C-pillar trim. See Trim - C-Pillar - Lower - LH (Remove And Replace) .
- Remove the RH mid C-pillar trim. See Trim - C-Pillar - Mid - LH (Remove And Replace) .
- Release the clips (x3) that attach the RH lower C-pillar support bracket, and then remove the bracket from the vehicle.
- Remove the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Replace) .
- Disconnect LV power. See LV Power (Disconnect and Connect) .
- Remove the rear trunk parcel shelf. See Parcel Shelf - Rear Trunk (Remove And Replace) .
- Release the clips (x7) that attach the RH upper C-pillar trim, and then move the trim aside.
- Remove the rear trunk load floor. See Trunk Load Floor - Rear (Remove And Replace) .
- Remove the rear wall rear trunk trim. See Trim - Rear Trunk - Rear Wall (Remove And Replace) .
- Remove the trunk floor front trim. See Trim - Front - Floor - Trunk (Remove And Replace) .
- Remove RH trunk load floor bracket. See Bracket - Trunk Load Floor - RH (Remove And Replace) .
- Remove the RH trunk side trim. See Trim - Side - Trunk - RH (Remove And Replace) .
- Remove the RH C-pillar support bracket. See Bracket - Support - C-Pillar - LH (Remove And Replace) .
- Release the clips (x3) that attach the RH C-pillar mid and lower body bracket to the body.
- Remove the RH 2nd row seat back striker. See Striker - Seat Back - 2nd Row Seat - LH (Remove and Replace) .
- Remove the closeout panel for the RH rear door latch assembly.
- Remove the bolts (x2) that attach the RH rear door latch to the body.
10 N.m (7.4 ft-lbs)
Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Torx T30 socket
NOTE: Guide the RH rear door latch through the wheelhouse insulator, and then set the latch aside. - Disconnect the electrical connector, then remove the nut that attaches the RH rear seatbelt retractor to the body, and then set the retractor aside.
40 N.m (29.5 ft-lbs)
Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 15 mm socket
- Disconnect the LH taillight electrical connector.
- Remove the subwoofer. See Subwoofer (Remove and Replace) .
- Remove the external audio amplifier. See Amplifier - Audio - External (Remove And Replace) .
- Release the clips (x12) and bolt that attach the RH body harness to the body.
9 N.m (6.6 ft-lbs)
Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 10 mm socket
- Remove the RH rear wheelhouse insulator.NOTE: Carefully maneuver the insulator out of the vehicle.
