Motor - Seat Track - Driver Seat - Remove And Replace: Remove
- Open the LH doors and lower the LH windows.
- Remove the driver seat. See Seat Assembly - 1st Row - LH (Remove And Replace) .
- With assistance, place the driver seat on a protected surface so that the underside of the seat can be accessed.
- Remove the screw that attaches the driver seat outboard side shield to the seat assembly.
Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Torx T20 socket
- 2 in extension
- Ratchet/torque wrench
- Carefully release the clips (x7) that attach the driver seat outboard side shield to the seat assembly, but do not fully remove the side shield from the seat assembly.
- Disconnect the electrical harness from the seat switch.
- Release the safety lock, and then disconnect the LH lap pretensioner electrical connector.
- Release the clip that attaches the driver seat, seat harness to the RH side seat track.
- Disconnect the driver seat left footwell LED electrical connector.
- Disconnect the driver seat track motor electrical connector.
- Release the clip that attaches the driver seat, seat harness to the track bridge.
- Remove and discard the outboard bolts (x2) that attach the seat track to the seat cushion frame.
23 N.m (17.0 ft-lbs)
Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- T50 socket
- Pry up on the bridge track motor tab, and then slide the outboard seat track away to release it from the bridge motor.
- Pry up on the tab, and then slide the track motor bridge away from the inboard track to release it.
- Pull the flexible shaft outward from the driver seat, seat track motor.
- Release the clips (x3), and then remove the flexible shaft guide tube from the driver seat track motor frame.
- Release the clip and locating pins (x2), and then remove the driver seat, seat track motor from the seat cushion frame.
