Carrier - Front End - Remove And Replace: Install

  1. Position the front end carrier onto the studs (x4) and datums (x4), and then secure the carrier onto the lamp brackets.

  2. Install the bolts (x4) that attach the RH front lamp brace to the vehicle. Repeat this step for the LH front lamp brace.

    Torque 4 N.m 

    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:

    • 10 mm socket

  3. Align the cooling fan module assembly with the front end carrier, and then loosely install the LH and RH bolts.
    NOTE: Assistance is recommend to support the cooling fan module assembly.

  4. Tighten the LH bolt that attaches the cooling fan module assembly to the front end carrier. Repeat this step for the RH bolt.

    Torque 10 N.m 

    NOTE: Assistance is recommend to support the cooling fan module assembly.

    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:

    • 8 mm socket
  5. Install the ankle catcher. See Ankle Catcher Assembly (Remove And Replace) .
  6. Install the bolt that attaches the RH front accelerator sensor to the vehicle. Repeat this step for the LH front accelerator sensor.

    Torque 10 N.m 

    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:

    • 10 mm socket

  7. Install the bolts (x2) that attach the front radar and bracket assembly to the vehicle.

    Torque 9 N.m 

    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:

    • 10 mm socket

  8. Install the bolt that attaches the homelink module and bracket assembly to the vehicle.

    Torque 5 N.m 

    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:

    • 10 mm socket

  9. Install the hood latch. See Latch - Hood (Single Actuator) (Remove and Replace) .
  10. Install the hood latch actuator. See Actuator - Latch - Hood (Single Actuator System) (Remove and Replace) .
  11. Install the clips (x8) that attach the FEM harness to the front end carrier assembly.

  12. Install the LH and RH headlights. See Headlight - LH (Remove and Replace) .
  13. Install the front bumper beam. See Bumper Beam - Front (Remove And Replace) .
  14. Install the front fascia assembly. See Fascia Assembly - Front (Remove And Install) .
  15. Install the underhood storage unit. See Underhood Storage Unit (Remove And Install) .
