Touchscreen - Rear - Remove And Replace: Install

  1. Position the rear touchscreen into the center console air wave cap, and then install the screws (x4) that attach the touchscreen to the air wave cap.

    NaN N.m (NaN ft-lbs) 

    NOTE: Slide the rear touchscreen into air wave cap through the top of the assembly.

    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:

    • T20 bit

  2. Position the air wave cap surround brackets onto the air wave cap assembly, and then install the screws (x4) that attach the brackets to the assembly.

    NaN N.m (NaN ft-lbs) 

    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:

    • T20 bit

  3. Position the center console air wave cap into the center console, position the center console air wave cap ground harness onto the air wave cap, and then fasten the screw that attaches the air wave cap ground wire to the air wave cap.

    1 N.m (.7 ft-lbs) 

    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:

    • T20 bit

  4. Position the center console air wave cap onto the center console, connect the electrical connector, align the air wave cap with the center console, and then install the screws (x4) that attach the air wave cap to the center console.

    1 N.m (.7 ft-lbs) 

    NOTE: Insert the air wave cap straight forward to align it to the center console.

    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:

    • T20 bit

  5. Remove the shop towels from the LH and RH center console side panels, and then secure the clips (x8) that attach the LH and RH side panels to the center console.

  6. Install console back panel assembly
    NOTE: 2x connectors, 2x datums, Engage datums into console carrier slots

  7. Install the center console lower rear panel. See Panel - Lower Rear - Center Console (Remove and Replace) .
  8. Move the front seats to the original positions.
  9. Close the RH doors
  10. Remove the center console service panel. See Panel - Service - Center Console (Remove and Replace) .
  11. Connect a laptop with Toolbox 3 to the vehicle.
  12. In Toolbox, click the Actions/Autodiag  tab, and then search for "Redeploy".
  13. Click SERVICE CAN REDEPLOY  , and then click Run  and allow the routine to complete.
    NOTE: Click at top right of window to close once complete. The routine will state pass but update will continue to run in the background. The UI will indicate the status of the update.
  14. Disconnect Toolbox and remove the laptop from the vehicle.
  15. Install the center console service panel. See Panel - Service - Center Console (Remove and Replace) .
  16. Move the driver seat to the original position.
  17. Raise the LH front window and close the LH doors.
