Decor - Instrument Panel - Main - Remove And Replace: Remove

  1. Remove the LH and RH middle A-pillar trims. See Trim - A-Pillar - Middle - LH (Remove and Replace) .
  2. Remove the LH and RH instrument panel end caps. See End Cap - Instrument Panel - LH (Remove And Replace) .
  3. Use a T20 to remove the fastener the attaches the outboard end of the instrument panel decor to the instrument panel.

  4. Remove the RH instrument panel end cap. See End Cap - Instrument Panel - LH (Remove and Replace).
  5. Use a T20 to remove the fastener the attaches the outboard end of the instrument panel decor to the instrument panel.

  6. Adjust the steering column fully rearwards and fully downwards.
  7. Open the hood.
  8. Power off the vehicle from the touchscreen.
  9. Remove the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Replace) .
  10. Disconnect the Low Voltage (LV) battery and the first responder loop. See LV Power (Disconnect and Connect) .
  11. Release the clips (x4) that attach the phone dock to the instrument panel.
    NOTE: Pull up at the bottom and swing out from under the instrument panel.

  12. Release the clip, and then disconnect the electrical connectors (x3) that attach the phone dock to the instrument panel. Remove the center console phone dock from the vehicle.
    CAUTION: Release the connector locks before pulling straight out of each socket to avoid damage.

  13. Remove the touchscreen, but do not remove the display housing mechanism. See Touchscreen (Remove and Replace) .
  14. Release the clips (x15) that attach the main instrument panel decor to the instrument panel, and then remove the decor from the vehicle.
