Decor - Instrument Panel - Main - Remove And Replace: Remove
- Remove the LH and RH middle A-pillar trims. See Trim - A-Pillar - Middle - LH (Remove and Replace) .
- Remove the LH and RH instrument panel end caps. See End Cap - Instrument Panel - LH (Remove And Replace) .
- Use a T20 to remove the fastener the attaches the outboard end of the instrument panel decor to the instrument panel.
- Remove the RH instrument panel end cap. See End Cap - Instrument Panel - LH (Remove and Replace).
- Use a T20 to remove the fastener the attaches the outboard end of the instrument panel decor to the instrument panel.
- Adjust the steering column fully rearwards and fully downwards.
- Open the hood.
- Power off the vehicle from the touchscreen.
- Remove the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Replace) .
- Disconnect the Low Voltage (LV) battery and the first responder loop. See LV Power (Disconnect and Connect) .
- Release the clips (x4) that attach the phone dock to the instrument panel.NOTE: Pull up at the bottom and swing out from under the instrument panel.
- Release the clip, and then disconnect the electrical connectors (x3) that attach the phone dock to the instrument panel. Remove the center console phone dock from the vehicle.CAUTION: Release the connector locks before pulling straight out of each socket to avoid damage.
- Remove the touchscreen, but do not remove the display housing mechanism. See Touchscreen (Remove and Replace) .
- Release the clips (x15) that attach the main instrument panel decor to the instrument panel, and then remove the decor from the vehicle.
