Front Brake Rotors - Calipers And Pads - Front Brake Caliper Sport - LH - Remove And Replace: Remove
- Place the vehicle on the 2-post lift.
Tip: Ensure the vehicle is not charging.
- Open the LH front door and lower the LH front window.
- Remove the rear underhood apron. See UNDERHOOD TRIM - REAR APRON ASSEMBLY - REMOVE AND REPLACE .
- Remove the LH front wheel. See WHEEL ASSEMBLY - REMOVE AND INSTALL .
- Position an oil drain receiver under the LH front brake hose area.
- Release the bolt that attaches the LH front brake hose bracket to the knuckle.
Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Ratchet/torque wrench
- 4 in extension
- 10 mm socket
- Remove the nut that attaches the LH front brake line to the LH front brake hose.
Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 1/4 in to 3/8 in adapter
- Ratchet/torque wrench
- 12 mm socket
- Remove the nut that attaches the LH front brake hose to body.
Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Cordless Ratchet/Impact Driver
- 10 mm deep socket
- Ratchet/torque wrench
- Remove and discard the bolt that attaches the LH front brake hose to the LH front brake caliper.
Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 11 mm deep socket
- Ratchet/torque wrench
- Remove and discard the bolts (x2) that attach the LH front brake caliper to the LH front knuckle, and then remove the front brake caliper.
Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Cordless Ratchet/Impact Driver
- 3/8 in to 1/2 in adapter
- External Torx E18
- Breaker bar
- Ratchet/torque wrench
