Brake Lines - Pipe Assembly L, Rear Brake - Remove And Install: Remove

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. See RAISE VEHICLE - 2 STANDS .
  2. Remove the rear underhood apron. See UNDERHOOD TRIM - REAR APRON ASSEMBLY - REMOVE AND REPLACE .
  3. Remove all four wheels. See WHEEL ASSEMBLY - REMOVE AND INSTALL .
  4. Remove the LH rear wheel arch liner. See WHEEL ARCH LINERS - REAR WHEEL LINER, LH - REMOVE AND REPLACE .
  5. Position the oil drain under the rear brake line junction block.
  6. Remove the LH rear brake line tube nut from the LH rear brake pipe junction block.

    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:

    • 3 in extension
    • Ratchet/torque wrench
    • 12 mm socket

  7. Position the oil drain under the rear LH brake hose.
  8. Remove the brake line tube nut from the brake hose at the jounce hose bracket. Allow the fluid to drain.

    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:

    • 3 in extension
    • Ratchet/torque wrench
    • 12 mm socket

  9. Remove the clips (x5) that attach the brake line to the body, and then remove the brake line from the vehicle.
    NOTE: No bending of the brake line is allowed.
