Brake Pedal - Pedal Assembly LHD, Base - Remove And Replace: Install

  1. Install the brake pedal assembly onto the studs (x2) of the body.
  2. Install the bolt and the new nuts (x4) that attach the brake pedal assembly to the vehicle.

    16.5 N.m (12.2 lbs-ft) 

    Nuts 13 N.m (9.6 lbs-ft) 

    Bolt 

    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:

    • Cordless Ratchet/Impact Driver
    • 13 mm deep socket
    • 4 in extension
    • Ratchet/torque wrench

  3. Fasten the clips (x2) that attach the electrical harness to the brake pedal assembly.

  4. Connect the accelerator pedal electrical connector.

  5. Install the brake clevis clip. See BRAKES - BRAKE PEDAL - BRAKE PEDAL - BRAKE PEDAL CLEVIS PIN - REMOVE AND REPLACE .
  6. Install the LH footwell duct. See INTERIOR DUCTING AND VENTS - IP, DRIVER, FOOTWELL, DUCT - REMOVE AND REPLACE .
  7. Install the driver footwell cover. See DASH PANEL - DRIVER FOOTWELL COVER ASSEMBLY - REMOVE AND REPLACE .
  8. Connect LV power. See LV BATTERY - LI-ION - DISCONNECT AND CONNECT .
  9. Connect a laptop with Toolbox 3 to the vehicle. See TOOLBOX 3 - CONNECT AND DISCONNECT .
  10. Click the Actions  tab, and then type "TEST-SELF_DI_X_ACCEL-PEDAL" into the search field.
  11. Click TEST-SELF_DI_X_ACCEL-PEDAL(i) , click Run  , and allow the routine to complete.
  12. Disconnect the laptop with Toolbox 3 from the vehicle. See TOOLBOX 3 - CONNECT AND DISCONNECT .
  13. Install the rear underhood apron. See UNDERHOOD TRIM - REAR APRON ASSEMBLY - REMOVE AND REPLACE .
  14. Raise the LH front window and close the LH front door.
