Jounce Hoses - Rear Brake Hose - Remove And Replace: Remove
- Raise and support the vehicle. See RAISE VEHICLE - 2 STANDS .
- Remove the rear underhood apron. See UNDERHOOD TRIM - REAR APRON ASSEMBLY - REMOVE AND REPLACE .
- Remove all four wheels. See WHEEL ASSEMBLY - REMOVE AND INSTALL .
- Position the oil drain under the rear LH brake hose.
- Remove the brake line tube nut from the brake hose at the jounce hose bracket. Allow the fluid to drain.
Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 3 in extension
- Ratchet/torque wrench
- 12 mm socket
- Release and discard the clip that attaches the brake hose to the jounce hose bracket, and then remove the hose from the bracket.
- Remove the bolt that attaches the flexible brake hose to the brake caliper, and then remove the hose from the vehicle.NOTE: The bolt and washers (x2) are captive and cannot be reused. Replace the hose assembly if the bolt is loosened or removed.
Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Ratchet/torque wrench
- 11 mm 12-point deep socket
