Brake Pipes and Hoses - Jounce Hoses - Front Brake Hose, LH - Remove And Replace: Remove
- Raise and support the vehicle. See RAISE VEHICLE - 2 STANDS .
- Remove the rear underhood apron. See UNDERHOOD TRIM - REAR APRON ASSEMBLY - REMOVE AND REPLACE .
- Remove all four wheels. See WHEEL ASSEMBLY - REMOVE AND INSTALL .
- Position the oil drain under the front LH brake hose.
- Remove the bolt securing the LH front brake hose to LH front brake caliper.
Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Ratchet/torque wrench
- 11 mm 12-point deep socket
NOTE: The bolt and washers (x2) are captive and cannot be reused. Replace the hose assembly if the bolt is loosened or removed. - Remove the bolt securing the LH front brake hose to LH front brake knuckle.
Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Ratchet/torque wrench
- 10 mm deep socket
- Remove the nut that securing LH front brake line to LH front brake hose.
Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 1/4 in to 3/8 in adapter
- Ratchet/torque wrench
- 12 mm socket
- Remove nut securing LH front brake hose to body, and then remove the hose from the vehicle.
Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Ratchet/torque wrench
- Cordless 1/4 in Dr Ratchet
- 10 mm deep socket
