Brakes - Brake Pedal - Brake Pedal - Pedal Assembly, RHD - Remove And Replace: Install

  1. Position the brake pedal assembly onto the body.

  2. Install the bolt and the new nuts (x4) that attach the brake pedal assembly to the vehicle.

    16.5 N.m (12.2 lbs-ft) 

    13 N.m (9.6 lbs-ft) 

    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:

    • Cordless Ratchet/Impact Driver
    • 13 mm deep socket
    • 4 in extension
    • Ratchet/torque wrench

  3. Connect the accelerator pedal electrical connector.

  4. Install the brake clevis clip. See BRAKES - BRAKE PEDAL - BRAKE PEDAL - BRAKE PEDAL CLEVIS PIN - REMOVE AND REPLACE .
  5. Install the RH footwell cover. See RHD INSTRUMENT PANEL - INSTRUMENT PANEL - DASH SUPPORT FRAME - DRIVER FOOTWELL ASSEMBLY - REMOVE AND REPLACE .
  6. Connect the LV battery power. See LV BATTERY - LI-ION - DISCONNECT AND CONNECT .
  7. Connect a laptop with Toolbox 3 to the vehicle. See TOOLBOX 3 - CONNECT AND DISCONNECT .
  8. Click the Actions  tab, and then type "TEST-SELF_DI_X_ACCEL-PEDAL" into the search field.
  9. Click TEST-SELF_DI_X_ACCEL-PEDAL(i) , click Run  , and allow the routine to complete.
  10. Disconnect the laptop with Toolbox 3 from the vehicle. See TOOLBOX 3 - CONNECT AND DISCONNECT .
  11. Install the rear apron. See UNDERHOOD TRIM - REAR APRON ASSEMBLY - REMOVE AND REPLACE .
  12. Move the driver seat back to its original position.
  13. Raise the RH front window and close the RH front door.
