Rear Brake Rotors - Calipers and Pads - Rear Brake Caliper Sport - RH - Remove And Replace: Install
- Install the RH rear brake caliper onto the RH rear knuckle, and then install new bolts to attach the caliper to the knuckle.
83 N.m (61.2 lbs-ft)
Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Cordless Ratchet/Impact Driver
- 3 in extension
- External Torx E18
- Ratchet/torque wrench
- Install the bolt that attaches a new hose to the RH rear brake caliper.
42 N.m (31.0 lbs-ft)
NOTE: The bolt and washers are captive in the new hose assembly.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Ratchet/torque wrench
- 11 mm 12-point deep socket
- Install the hose into the jounce hose bracket, and then install a new clip that attaches the brake hose to the jounce hose bracket.NOTE: Pay attention to the clip orientation.
- Install the brake line tube nut to the brake hose at the jounce hose bracket.
16 N.m (11.8 lbs-ft)
Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 3 in extension
- Ratchet/torque wrench
- 12 mm socket
- Install the bolt that attaches the RH rear EPB harness bracket to the RH rear caliper.
5 N.m (3.7 lbs-ft)
Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 4 in extension
- Ratchet/torque wrench
- 10 mm socket
- Connect the RH rear EPB caliper connector.
- Remove the oil drain from under the vehicle.
- Perform a brake fluid flush on the RH rear brake. See BRAKE FLUID BLEED/FLUSH (MAINTENANCE) .
- Perform one
of the following:
- If the brake pads were not replaced in this procedure, perform a road test using a series of aggressive stops and make sure that there is proper brake pedal feel and brake performance.NOTE: Add test drive correction code 00040100 as a separate activity to the Service Visit.
- If the brake pads were replaced in this procedure, perform the brake pad burnishing procedure. See BRAKE PADS - BURNISHING .NOTE: Add the correction code for brake pad burnishing 33013000 as a separate activity to the Service Visit.
- If the brake pads were not replaced in this procedure, perform a road test using a series of aggressive stops and make sure that there is proper brake pedal feel and brake performance.
